I do not like cats in particular. But I took care of a couple of kittens in my final year at med school. This one was really cute. But it had an accident; two accidents actually, that left it paralyzed waist down. Vellore, which hosts one of the finest medical schools in India, is a hot and arid place. Still the beauty of the skyline as the sun sets behind the rocky hills is quite evident from this picture. This was taken on a color film roll, but the print turned out to be in black and white.
This is the clinic at Mudgaon, run by the Lady Willingdon hospital, Manali. The clinic is right across a river, under the shadow of a snow covered peak. It is surrounded by meadows bearing flowers of all colors. This is one of the most beautiful places, I’ve been to.
